One way to combat poor indoor air quality (IAQ) is to ventilate your home with fresh outside air. But with the concern for energy efficiency, we have all but eliminated fresh air from our homes.

HRV The average home should have at least .35 ACH (Air Changes Per Hour). An ACH of 1.0 means that air in the home is changed once per hour. Newer, high-efficiency homes generally have an ACH rating of less than .35, and many are as low as .05. That can lead to extremely poor indoor air quality. The Lennox heat recovery ventilator (HRV) provides a simple and economical way to freshen the air.

Thanks to some clever engineering, the Lennox HRV is able to conserve energy from indoor conditioned air and transfer it to the outdoor air as it's brought into your home.

The heart of the Lennox HRV is a heat exchange core. Inside the core, indoor air passes through a chamber in one direction, while fresh outside air passes through the other chamber to the indoors. HRV The two air streams never mix, but as they pass each other through these side-by-side chambers, heat is transferred from one airflow to the other through the highly conductive aluminum walls of the core. This way, the air exhausted from your home is used efficiently to heat or cool incoming fresh air.
