Lowest LifeCycle Costs™ means when you add up the installed cost,
the operating costs, the maintenance and service costs... L Series
units comes out way ahead.
TECHNOLOGY
For over 100
years, people have trusted Lennox to make their lives more
comfortable, both on the job and at home. That tradition continues
with the L Series® product line.
Imagine a product line that offers 14 cooling capacities, ranging
from 3 to 30 tons, in only 4 different footprints. Units that feature
smaller compressor circuits for quicker refrigerant recovery, slab
coils for easy cleaning, and through-the-base power and gas entry.
In fact,
the L Series product line has a remarkable amount of factory installed
options, which means simpler, less-costly installations. Factory
installed options range from gear-driven economizers to smoke
detectors, Direct Digital Control (DDC) options, stainless steel heat
exchangers and disconnects. And thanks to our innovative manufacturing
process, we can build and deliver your built-to-order L Series units
in weeks, not months.
PERFORMANCE
You can depend on the L Series product line to provide many years of
dependable service. When it comes to reliability, Lennox leads the
way. Thanks to Lennox' high standard of manufacturing excellence and
quality engineering, the L Series product line offers the lowest life
cycle cost of any commercial rooftop product line in the marketplace.
In addition, Lennox provides customer service that is unsurpassed
in the industry. Our trained staff of commercial professionals stand
ready to service requests, ensure follow-up, and provide solutions.
EFFICENCY
With efficiency ratings as high as 11.5 EER and IPLV (Integrated Parts
Load Value) ratings up to 13.3, L Series® package units
feature energy efficiencies that are unsurpassed in the industry. In
fact, L Series units qualify for most utility company rebates. Our
optional high-efficiency blower motors exceed federal standards, and
our multiple-compressor configuration enables each unit to meet the
comfort demands while delivering lower energy bills.
ENERGY SAVINGS
Simply put, the higher the efficiency rating, the greater the energy
savings. So, what you invest on the front end by purchasing a more
efficient unit, you earn back each month in lower energy costs. Over
time, the savings will be an additional comfort, especially when your
investment in high efficiency products is returned within a few years.
Ask your Lennox representative or independent contractor for an
estimate of actual savings in your area.
We build
according to internationally recognized ISO 9002 standards. And, we
stand behind our products with some
of the best warranties in the industry. The L Series®
units are backed by a 15-year limited warranty on our stainless steel
gas heat exchanger, a 10-year limited warranty on our aluminized gas
heat exchangers and a 5-year limited warranty on the compressors. The
integrated modular control carries a 3-year limited warranty. All
remaining covered components carry a 1-year limited warranty. That's
one more reason to trust Lennox.
Quality Components
-
Thermostatic Expansion Valves–Offer greater reliability over a
variety of operating conditions.
-
Direct-Drive Fan–This precision-balanced, direct-drive outdoor
condenser fan is designed to run slower for quieter and more
durable performance.
-
Slide Out Blower Deck–Improves service access for blower and
motor.
-
Common Components–Common components are used throughout the L
Series product line which means fewer parts to stock on the
service truck or at the shop.
-
Isolated Compressor Compartment–Allows performance check
during normal compressor operation, without disrupting airflow.
-
Integrated Modular Control–Solid-state control manages every
function with digital accuracy. With its sophisticated diagnostic
capabilities, the Integrated Modular Control identifies problems,
lowers operating costs, and reduces stress on the unit. In
addition, it is compatible with third-party control systems,
providing our customers with unlimited flexibility.
-
Low Ambient Protection–Every L Series unit comes standard
with low ambient protection down to 0°F.
-
looks good year after year.
OPTIONAL
-
Factory Installed Options–Gear-driven economizer, power
exhaust, disconnects, 115 volt GFI, service valves and even more
options that reduce field labor and simplify installation. The
GFI option provides a convenient receptacle for power tool
hook-up. Gas/Electric and Cooling Only service valves allow unit
pump-down without having to recover HCFC-22.
-
Optional Horsepower, Drive and Efficiencies–Optional blower
motor horsepower and drives yield a wider range of operating
static and air volumes. High efficiency option reduces operating
cost and qualifies for certain rebates.
-
Easy Access–Hinged access panels are standard on the entire
product line and allow easier and quicker access to unit
components.
EASY MAINTENANCE
-
Common Cabinet Sizes–Cooling only and Gas/Electric units
share the same cabinet. Multiple efficiencies are obtained in
the same cabinet, providing greater design and installation
flexibility.
-
Bottom or Side Gas and Power Entry–Convenient, flexible
installation. Bottom entry eliminates need for additional roof
penetrations.
-
Full Perimeter Base Rail–Provides greater unit structural
integrity. Easier to handle the unit when rigging and
transporting.
LOOKS GOOD YEAR ROUND
-
Corrosion-Resistant Cabinet–A durable, baked-on enamel
finish protects the heavy-gauge, galvanized steel cabinet
against rust and corrosion.

INSTALLED OPTIONS
Stainless Steel
Heat Exchanger — With a standard 15 year warranty and a minimum
mixed air temperature of 30°F, the stainless steel heat exchanger is
ideal for application requiring a large percentage of outside air.
Filter Status
Switch — Signals that the filter in the unit needs to be changed.

Return Air and Supply Air
— Smoke detectors can be installed at the factory or in the field
offering greater job flexibility.

Disconnect
— Eliminates the need for field installation, which saves time and
money at the job site.
Exhaust Options
— Both gravity and powered exhaust are available from the factory,
which minimizes field labor and offers the flexibility needed to meet
job requirements.
Blower Status
Switch — Ensures that the fan is operating, if not, this switch will
signal the IMC to shut the unit down.
MORE STANDARD
FEATURES
Scroll
Compressor (High Efficiency Models) — Delivers lower operating costs
at efficiency ratings of 11.5 EER and 13.3 IPLV. As well as providing
quieter and more reliable operation.
Slab
Condenser Coil — Easier cleaning results in more cost efficient
operation. (8.5-30 Ton gas/electric and cooling only models)
Color
Coded Labeled Wiring — Provides easy identification and tracing
which simplifies service and maintenance.
CO2 Strategy —
The IMC is designed to monitor CO2 levels and adjust the economizer
dampers to maintain ideal fresh air during periods of less than design
occupancy. Requires field-installed CO2 Sensor (Picture shown).
