My pilot light goes out during windy weather

This is usually caused by a down draft or possibly the furnace being located in an area where it can be exposed to a severe draft. Be careful about trying to seal a your mechanical closet to prevent this problem. Mechanical closets need to have a openings for fresh air to enter for proper combustion of the fuel burned by the furnace. Make sure that the door on your mechanical closet is closed. Due to the safety issues involved, it is suggested that you call for professional service if this problem persists.
