Air Conditioning Maintenance... |
|
| You
should perform the following maintenance every year. This is the absolute
minimum maintenance your air conditioner should receive each year. If
you are not doing this yourself, you should consider a Sunbelt
preventative maintenance contract for your equipment. Properly maintained
equipment operates for less, and lasts longer. If you would like to
learn more about our preventative maintenance program and the
benefits that if offers, click
here to go to our preventative maintenance program. A Sunbelt
Preventative Maintenance Agreement covers more than just the "minimum"
maintenance and can sometimes catch a little problem before it becomes a
major repair. |
|
- Clean
the outdoor condenser coil with a water hose at least once a year
(more often if you have cotton wood trees or an extreme
environment). Make sure the power is off to the unit and check
safety first guidelines before working with electrical circuits.
- Change
indoor air filters at least four times a year (more often if
needed).
- Trim
flowers and bushes away from outdoor unit so as to not impede the
flow of air through the unit.
